    Every September, Keremeos comes alive with the fiery spirit of the Similkameen Sizzle, Canada’s one and only hot pepper festival. This free, family-friendly event fills Memorial Park with flavour, music, contests, and community pride, attracting thousands of visitors who come to taste, dance, cheer, and celebrate the valley. Through guided discussion and hands-on learning, participants will build confidence, awareness, and the ability to navigate stressful interactions with calm and control. This workshop is part of our annual Changemakers Series — a community event series dedicated to bringing valuable workshops in personal and professional development to the Similkameen. Have an idea or suggestion for a future session?     This Year’s Keremeos Light-Up theme is “Enchanted Christmas Forest - A Magical Holiday Adventure! The Annual Craft Fair at Victory Hall is fully Booked, but you can email us to be added to the waitlist. Downtown businesses are encouraged to decorate their business on theme to bring on the festive vibes!. Or maybe you want to participate in this year’s Parade.     Playing in My Shoes is a free community event focused on inclusion, accessibility, and connection through the sport of disc golf. Open to people of all ages, abilities, and income levels, the event encourages participants to experience and better understand what it can mean to navigate activities from different perspectives and abilities. Now in its fourth year, the event continues to celebrate diversity and promote accessible opportunities for everyone to enjoy and participate in disc golf.
