Cooking Class – Soup Basics

Come one, come all to Klippers Organics first cooking class! Sunday March 10th from 2pm-4pm. We will be starting with a community favourite, our Creamy Vegan Tomato Soup.

Join Chef Ashley Hunter in a guided 1.5-2 hour long training session on Soup Basics. We will use our Vegan Tomato Soup recipe as an example of how to use the 7 steps to making fantastic soups. We will discuss stock basics and how to use your veggie scraps to level up your soup game. How to use frozen tomatoes to get the same bright colour and zingy acidy as fresh tomatoes. How to switch out your aromatics to create a variety of different tasting soups with the same basic steps and ingredients. You will leave this class with all of the necessary techniques to make a variety of nutritious, veggie forward soups at home.

All participants will be receive the following:

– 1.5 hours of instruction and hands on cooking time.

– Take home recipe card

– A liter of your fresh soup to take home. Additional liter available at a discounted rate

– Focaccia bread add-on available for $7 – Savings of $1
