KG Industries is an innovative and progressive manufacturer of heavy-duty axles. We design and manufacture a wide range of Self-Steer, Force-Steer, Off-highway, and Highway axles for the transportation industry. Our manufacturing plant is an exciting and growing environment with a full CNC machine shop, welding, assembly, warehouse, shipping, logistics, and office spaces. We are located in Cawston B.C. in the heart of the beautiful Similkameen Valley.
What we are looking for
We are actively recruiting for an Assembly Shop Technician to join our team full-time. The position is well suited for a mechanically minded individual who is eager to learn and grow within the company.
Skills
The candidate should:
· Have strong written and verbal communication
· Be personally organized
· Comfortable using various tools – impact wrenches, grinders, hydraulic presses, as well as hand tools
· Be a team player and willing to learn the product and grow.
· Must be a conscientious worker who takes pride in their work
· Able to work in a team environment and independently
Prior Experience
Previous mechanical experience an asset. Mechanical interest and aptitude a must. Position would suit school/college graduate or person that has experience in automotive industry. On site training will be provided:
· High school Diploma
· Mechanical interest and aptitude (IE they like to figure out how things work)
Responsibilities
The candidate will have opportunity for fast growth, additional roles, and responsibilities. Initial responsibilities include:
· Reading and understanding drawings from the engineering department and applying to axle builds
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Build axles as per customers specifications
· Assembly of customer parts orders
· Assemble parts for axle builds
· Must have own hand tools
· General Workshop duties as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
